Our Mission:
RLM believes that there is a solution to addiction. We seek to carry the message of the faith based 12-Step Program to all who suffer from addiction. We believe anyone who suffers from the chaos of addiction can move forward toward the serenity of sobriety. We seek to offer each person who comes through our doors the opportunity to live each day with willingness, honesty and open-mindedness, and further to walk toward their own “Spiritual Awakening” and personal restoration. We intend to support the sick and suffering in our community by offering a spiritually based meeting on a daily basis to all, and by offering a structured residential recovery program for eligible men and women in need.
Our Goals:
Our goal is to assist people suffering from the disease of addiction and to help them learn a healthier way to make lifestyle choices. We strive to aide men and women to become positive, self-sufficient, responsible and productive members of our community while maintaining a substance-free lifestyle. In order to attain this goal, we refer our participants to community resources that can assist them in making the necessary lifestyle changes conducive to healthy decision making. These resources include spiritual, mental health, substance abuse, education, wellness and life skills programs such as RCS and Craven Community College who provide life skills, GED, computer training, commercial cleaning, CNA, green construction, and other courses.
RLM will partner with other agencies to enable participants to find and build their own self-worth and self esteem, and to assist them in becoming responsible, productive, self-sufficient members of our community, while maintaining a clean/sober and substance-free lifestyle. RLM will provide our participants with the guidance and foundation to discover their own spiritual awakening.
